The sprawling grounds are beautifully terraced with plants and flowers. The suite offered a massive balcony and a comfortable king-size bed, providing plenty of space to relax.
Rooms show wear from time. WiFi connection is poor and not reliable, affecting communication. One of the restaurants was closed for maintenance, leaving fewer dining options available .

Besides, the location was ideal for our stay, within 15 minutes' walk of Cc Plaza America. And it was also just next door to a bus stop and the Gulf.

The Hotel Mocambo is a historical reference in the field of accommodation in Veracruz. It is a classic and a reference of a golden age . The staff, is VERY kind and just for that, I would like the hotel to continue for a long time. EVERYONE, without exception, from the reception staff to the security guard, including the maintenance staff, waiters and waitresses of the hotel, very, very friendly.
It's sad that a hotel that was so majestic should fall so low. room I was assigned had dampness, in the room and in the bathroom. space where the shower is located was dark, because the light from the rest of the bathroom was not reaching it. room was clean, when you saw the dampness and little black dots of mould or some cobwebs, they took away the idea of cleanliness. You can see a majestic hotel but it is a pity. I stayed in it because I heard that they are going to tear it down, it will be sad to see such an emblematic hotel destroyed and/or not maintained. Perhaps if they sought to finance it through the sale of shares or by giving and restoring it little by little, different areas of the hotel, without renting the rooms that are most in need of maintenance, could be a solution to it being maintained and restored. In any case, I reiterate the great attention of all your staff!

The hotel is quite unique in its concept and is appreciated for its location, sea views, an excellent open pool and ample public spaces.
The value for money could be better.1) The rooms we were in had several little problems that would be good to fix. 415: the bathroom door was not closed from the outside and was always ajar; from the inside, there was no handle to pull it closed. The bathroom window was not easy to open and it moved with the wind, making a constant noise. The watering can drained off some time after the keys were turned off. The finish of the sardine is very common. 516: The hot water tap in the sink had a leak: when it was turned on, water drained out and made a puddle on the floor. The shower faucets are badly placed and obsolete, very difficult to open and close.2) Maintenance is needed on the terraces: uneven walls, etc. Public facilities are very enjoyable, but they should not be allowed to deteriorate. The painting of walls in many places in the hotel needs to be touched up.

The hotel boasts beautifully manicured tropical gardens and iconic fountains. The kids enjoyed splashing around in the clean pools, while we relaxed nearby on the balcony with a nice drink. The beach is just a short stroll away, where local musicians offer cheerful tunes for a nice family evening. The staff is friendly, accommodating our requests with a smile.
The exterior areas of the hotel show some signs of aging and require maintenance.
